Sole Legal Counsel – Retail Banking/Consumer Lending – 2+ PQE

My client, a financial institution based in London, is seeking to hire a Sole Legal Counsel. This role is newly created as a result of rapid growth within the business. The ideal candidate will have two years’ post-qualification experience gained within the retail banking/consumer lending team of a law firm and have transitioned in-house/have gained in-house experience through a secondment.*  

As well as having worked on specific consumer lending matters, the ideal candidate will:

• Possess working knowledge of the consumer credit act;
• Have advised on FCA rules and regulations;
• Assisting the Compliance Officer and providing general legal support across all areas of the business when necessary.
