Senior Lawyer

A global payments company based in London is currently looking for a Senior Lawyer with strong commercial and corporate experience to join the team on a 9 month contract.

The firm is one of the world’s largest payments companies, operating in over 200 countries. Sat within the Corporate and Commercial legal team, responsibilities of the role are likely to entail;

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating on a range of commercial agreements including; supplier contracts, licensing and product development contracts
• Taking responsibility for all legal queries as well as providing legal training to other areas of the business
• Instructing external counsel and identifying when necessary
• Providing legal advice with respect to acquisitions

  The successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate previous commercial experience within an in-house role and fintech and/or payments experience will be advantageous. Strong academics and training within a top law firm is desirable.
