An exciting opportunity has arisen within a West Midlands based Local Authority who are currently recruiting a Child Protection Legal Assistant to join their Childcare Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced department alongside senior solicitors dealing with childcare matters.

With previous child protection experience the successful candidate will assist in co-case managing up to 26 Care Proceedings Cases in addition to being able to work towards tight deadlines and contribute towards the success of the team.

Duties will include:
*Assisting solicitors with a high volume caseload
*Drafting and preparing legal documents
*Undertaking general administrative tasks, ie filing, photocopy, scanning, diarising key dates

The Authority is currently recruiting on a six month contract with a possible view to extension. The hours of work are 37.5 hours over five days a week.

The hourly rate is £15.50 per hour.
