Housing LItigation Locum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Litigation Locum to join a Local Authority in the North-West on a Locum basis for 3 months with the possibility of extension. This is an interim post so likely to extend to 6 months with the opportunity to go permanent.

Day to day duties:

• Handling a housing litigation caseload of both public and private sector matters
• Dealing with private sector issues to include but not limited to licensing, HMO prosecutions and accelerated possession proceedings
• Responsible for housing stock with an ALMO as managing agents
• Undertaking a varied range of instructions including civil injunctions, possession proceedings founded on anti-social behaviour and Court of Protection matters
• Providing advice on general housing matters including homelessness

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor or Qualified Legal Executive that holds a current practicing certificate. The successful candidate must have previous experience within Housing Law.
