Locum Prosecutions Solicitor/Barrister Opportunity
Venn Group is managing the recruitment of a Prosecutions Solicitor/Barrister on behalf of a Local Authority based in Devon. The organisation immediately requires a solicitor or barrister with particular experience and knowledge of prosecution and litigation matters to join their busy team.
The day to day duties will include:
- Handling a caseload of general prosecution litigation matters for the Local Authority to include Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing and Information Law
- Drafting all appropriate legal documentation, liaising with clients, external lawyers and other professionals
- Dealing with DP and FOI requests
- Advising on planning enforcement and health and safety matters
The successful candidate must have strong experience of working within a local government prosecutions department and be 2+ years PQE. This position will be on an on-going basis, with competitive rates of pay.
