Contentious Construction Solicitor sought for leading law firm in London.
THE FIRM
Our client is a leading Legal 500 law firm based within a significant and attractive building which is set in an enchanting position in London. They are now seeking a Contentious Construction Solicitor to join their large team and provide clients with expert advice. They have extensive experience across the board covering all areas of construction and are highly client focused at the same time valuing the importance of their staff.
THE ROLE
The role involves handling your own caseload including advising clients on every contentious aspect of construction contracts; drafting submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings; amending contracts; agreements for lease; delivering clients expectations and managing proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court. The successful Solicitor will be joining a busy and thriving construction department. You should have an interest in marketing and business development which includes preparing and delivering seminars and contributing to the department’s publications. THE CANDIDATE
You will be an experienced contentious construction Solicitor with 3 years PQE preferably with some non-contentious experience.
You will have excellent academics with at least a 2:1 at degree level.
You will ideally have a postgraduate course in construction law.
You will have a thorough understanding of Housing Grants, Construction & Regeneration.
You will be keen on business development and will be commercially aware.
You will have excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
