Our client is a complex organisation comprised of many parts, including a membership body and not-for-profit arm of the business, as well as the central governance, and a publishing arm based in central London. They now seek to expand their legal team. The successful individual will join this small and collegiate team and deal with a diverse range of legal matters in an organisation that truly values their employees.

You will confident in preparing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts including IT/IP, consultancy, employment and marketing contracts. You will also be fluent in providing legal advice in relation to such contracts. Knowledge of Data protection would be an advantage.

You will also advise on Organisational business risks, governance, brand and trademark issues as well as external marketing communications.

The individual does not necessarily have to have worked within in the sector but a solid grounding in commercial law coupled with a desire to work in house and a positive can-do attitude is essential. Ideally, you will be between 2 and 6 years PQE but those able to demonstrate the relevant skill set will also be considered.
