Our client, an established & successful business in Bristol are recruiting for an In House Paralegal to assist on a range of contentious work with a particular emphasis on the construction industry.

Our client is a well established and successful business based in Bristol.

Description

The role of the In House Paralegal will involve working closely with the General Counsel on a range of contentious matters. There is a particular emphasis on construction based disputes however you will also be involved in more general breach of contract disputes.

As the General Counsel does a lot of advocacy work you will be involved in the preparation of matters that are going to court hearings and you will be required to attend these from time to time to represent the business.

Profile

The ideal In House Paralegal will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of the litigation process i.e. can freely draft particulars of claim and be a robust negotiator. It is also expected that you will have a working knowledge of contract formation & the basic principles of contract law.

Experience of construction contracts or construction litigation would be advantageous.

As the role is based in Bristol you will ideally be based in or around the Bristol region.

Job Offer

A salary of £25,000 - £30,000 is on offer.
