Legal Counsel

A services company based in one of the City of London's iconic buildings, are looking to hire a commercially-minded Legal Counsel to join their team for five months.

About The Legal Counsel Role

Covering the maternity leave of a team member, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for a wide variety of matters:

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of commercial agreements relating to sales, distribution, IT, supply, T&Cs, marketing and any other miscellaneous matters running through the organisation
• Advising on corporate matters
• Providing key legal support to longer-term projects
• Data protection advice

About You

The client believes that the work would be well-suited to an individual with around 3-6 years PQE but applications from all levels will be considered on merit. You must have worked at a reputable law firm and as well as having spent time working in an in-house environment. It is essential that you possess extensive experience of negotiating commercial agreements, and individuals coming from a purely corporate background will also be considered. Applications from both UK and foreign-qualified lawyers are welcomed.

As well as being a technically-competent lawyer, this role also requires someone who possesses business acumen, emotional intelligence and a strong sense of ethics. You must be able to work within a team-oriented environment.

The role is due to start in early September.
