Senior Legal Manager

An industry leading Oil and Gas giant is looking to hire a Senior Legal Manager from London to assist on day-to-day operation of the company's global business, as well as leading the negotiations and implementations of acquisitions and disposals being engaged in during the companies expansion and restructuring locally and overseas.

An exciting opportunity for senior Oil and Gas lawyers to work in-house as Senior Legal Manager with a company that is leading in the recovery of a sector that has seen a downturn in recruitment over the past decade. This role offers a chance to work at the sharp end of business expansion and lead the legal side of multiple large projects, working closely with an exiting legal team and also assisting in the expansion of legal functions offshore and in London.

The role will also bring the opportunity to report directly to senior management, building your relationship management skills as well as gaining experience in high-level corporate and commercial strategy working amongst respected business leaders in the energy and Oil and Gas market.

Key responsibilities of this Senior Legal Manager role:

• provide daily regulatory advice on day-to-day operation of various business units
• negotiate and participate in acquisition and disposal processes as the business expands and restructure various global assets
• negotiation, draft, and review commercial contracts
• advise senior management during key decision making processes on the legal cost-effectiveness of various commercial strategies in multiple jurisdictions
• contribute to the supervision of legal spend, allocating to the in-house function as often as possible

Whilst there is not strict PQE requirement, the client believes that this role is best suited to lawyers with 15-20 years PQE, ideally with time for a top London law firm.
