We are working with a national Legal 500 rated firm looking for a commercial solicitor to join their Commercial Team based in the West Midlands. This role offers the opportunity to work with industry leaders and the opportunity to act for a varied client base.

This firm is national Legal 500 private practice and is well know for its friendly and supportive environment. This role would provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to join a national commercial law firm in the West Midlands.

About the role

This highly regarded Commercial team acts for clients in the engineering, manufacturing and retail industries.

You will have the opportunity to advise and negotiate a wide range of contracts from contracts for the supply of goods and services, distribution, agency and outsourcing agreements as well as exposure to data protection and intellectual property matters.

The team will give you breadth of experience in your formative years and a solid foundation for your drafting and negotiating skills.

About the person

The Commercial Solicitor will be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 6 months experience gained in a training contract with a reputable firm.

Due to the structure of the team, my client will consider applications from solicitors' with up to 2 years PQE gained in a primate practice or an In House organisation.

Experience of drafting agency agreements, optional/distribution agreements and shareholder agreements would be preferable.

Awareness of and a demonstrable passion for commercial law are essential, along with excellent interpersonal and self-management skills and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with both colleagues and clients.
