Thornton legal are working with a Top 100 Law Firm based in the North West. They are looking to recruit a Paralegal to join the Housing & Regeneration Department.

The role will be in the Housing Litigation & Management Team supporting fee earners with their caseloads and will include:

  • Court proceedings including preparation of witness statements and trial bundles. Dealing with disclosure and attending hearings and conferences with counsel.
  • Anti-social behaviour and other breach of tenancy injunctions.
  • Disrepair claims including responding to claim letters, organising disclosure and advising on liability. Applying for access injunctions including conducting hearings.
  • General housing management advice on tenancy issues.

The Housing & Regeneration Department is recognised as one of the leading providers of legal services to the housing sector nationally.

They have a long history of working with housing associations, public authorities, charities and not for profit organisations which means that the team of highly skilled housing solicitors has a wealth of very practical experience of the sector.

The Housing and Regeneration Team (Contentious and Non Contentious) comprises 5 partners, 1 consultant, 3 Senior Associates, 1 Associate, 3 Solicitors, 6 paralegals, a trainee and a secretarial support team.

They are looking for an individual who is able to hit the ground running and is powered on delivering tangible results, and displays a desire to be an integral part of the growth of the team.

To have gained the required level of skills and experience, candidates would normally be required to possess legal qualifications in the form of a law degree or ILEX, but we are happy to hear from any applicant who can demonstrate the level of skills and knowledge that we are looking for.

Salary up to £20,000 plus benefits including:
