A globally leading American investment bank has opened up an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Lawyer to join their legal team in the City for a six month contract, to advise on the implementation of MiFID II.
About the role
Reporting into the Managing Counsel, the Regulatory Lawyer will sit within the organisation's legal team and support the sell-side advisory aspects of MiFID II implementation. Whilst participating in multiple work-streams, the successful individual will partner with business leaders and other support groups to drive successful project implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Advisory support on sell-side aspects of MiFID II implementation
- Working alongside members of the legal team to ensure consistent and timely output
- Reviewing relevant level II and level II guidance and working with existing legal team members on interpretative issues
- Identifying issues, escalating risks, following up and reporting status to line manager as required
Requirements of the role
- Qualified solicitor with solid experience across MiFID or MiFID II implementation
- Experience of working at a top tier bank in-house legal team or a magic circle, silver circle or city law firm
