A Leading Housing Association is seeking a Legal Partner to advise the business over a broad variety of housing and tenancy legal matters.
The Legal Partner will head up the legal team, who are responsible in the management and resolving reports of anti-social behaviour, fraud, subletting, access, disrepair, and other legislative and tenancy matters.
Day to day duties will include Supporting and providing training to housing officers to build capacity to better manage low level anti-social behaviour cases. To also have a preventative approach the resolution of high level anti-social behaviour cases and tenancy enforcement issues. The Legal Partner will be expected to build excellent relationships with the operational teams in order to provide a holistic approach to tenancy breaches, taking a holistic approach to tenancy management. Furthermore the Legal Partner will Lead on partnership working with other agencies such as the Police and Environmental Health Fraud services creating a collaborative approach to resolution.
The Legal Partner will have significant experience investigating and taking appropriate remedial action regarding serious cases of breach of tenancy, attending court hearings, liaising with statutory groups and working closely with victims informing them of progress with investigations.
Applicants should all have a strong working knowledge of housing law and the ability to use the legal tools available to tackle anti social behaviour and other tenancy breaches.
