Your new role 

This is a newly created Legal & Compliance Counsel role, designed to support and work closely with the Head of Legal & Compliance for the Exertis UK and Ireland group of companies.  It will span the full spectrum of compliance, commercial and operational legal support for the group with an immediate focus on the UK.  The role will operate across the business, partnering with all business units and functions, providing high quality legal and compliance support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  The role holder will also be expected to travel within the UK 1-2 times per month to key sites.

What you'll need to succeed 

You will be a Qualified Solicitor with significant commercial experience – this may have been gained from either a combination of private practice and in house experience or another in house role.  It would be desirable that you have a background in compliance or risk management and any experience within manufacturing, distribution or technology would be advantageous.  Critically, you will demonstrate exceptionally strong interpersonal skills along with integrity, determination and excellent judgement skills and problem solving ability.
