Our client, a full-service national law firm, is seeking to hire a NQ Construction Solicitor to join their team based in Birmingham. This role is rewarded with a competitive NQ salary together with excellent benefits and progression opportunities.
About the role
This directories rated Construction team boasts an impressive portfolio of clients, assisting both domestic and international clients alike across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, residential, retail and educational.
Workflows will include acting on construction and engineering matters from inception to completion including:
- Advising developers, employers, subcontractors, housing associations and consultants on contract formation, construction and procurement strategies and development;
- Drafting and negotiating JCT/NEC3 contracts;
- Managing risk in bespoke procurement;
- Advising on asset management and maintenance contracts
- Providing corporate support to other teams including Real Estate, Corporate and Banking and acquisitions and disposals

It also provides the advantage of working on both contentious and non contentious matters giving the successful NQ experience in both.
About the person
The Construction Solicitor will be a NQ qualified solicitor with ideally a minimum of 6 months experience gained in a construction seat at a well-respected national firm. March 2018 qualifiers will be considered for this role.
