Legal Counsel - Corporate and Commercial

The UK's most innovative energy provider is looking to hire an In House Counsel to join the dynamic team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to build on existing skills in corporate M&A and commercial contracts and develop into a resourceful and commercially competent In House Counsel in a company at the cutting edge of modern energy technology.

The business has a leading presence in the UK energy market, and is leading the market in their speciality across Europe. The legal team has grown rapidly alongside the company, and are integrated within each key project that the business pursues from London and abroad.

The role will sit within the Construction sub-team, but managers have assured us that all In House Counsel are required (due to the nature and pace of the business) to touch on other areas and be adaptable.

Key responsibilities of the Legal Counsel position:

• Legal advice in relation to mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy and compliance
• Legal advice and support on commercial contracts matters, NDAs, Head of Terms, IT contracts, and other commercial agreements
• Legal advice on general corporate matters such as SPA, assets purchase agreements and transfer agreements

The team work very collaboratively across the corporate, construction and finance divisions, so someone with a string team attitude and work ethic would excel in their application. The role is ideally suited to candidates with 3-6 years experience in construction, though candidates of others levels will be equally considered.
