Our client provide legal services throughout the Mold area. They are now looking for an experienced Legal Accounts Manager / Cashier to join their small office.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career at a fast paced, legal services firm. This role is initially being recruited for on a temporary basis, however could be offered permanently to the right candidate.
Role
- You will be expected to report and analyse accounts data and communicate such information to the Senior Partner on a daily basis
- Management and distribution of cash - to and from office and client accounts
- Recording all payments and receipts
- Preparing and executing CHAPS and BACS receipts and payments
- Maintain purchase ledger and nominal accounts
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliation
- Preparing monthly profit - loss accounts and budgets
- Preparing VAT records
- Processing costs / damages cheques and electronic payments
- Effectively resolve queries in a timely manner
- Ensure WIP is recorded and billed on a timely basis. Credit control for all fee earners
- Lodging bills
- Prepare and complete end of month / year accounts procedures
- Monthly review of Direct Debits and Standing Orders
- Manage payment plans with suppliers
- Ensure continued compliance with SRA regulations
- Assist with Audit roles for auditors / SRA / bank etc
- Other accounts and cashier duties as required
Candidate Profile and experience:
- Must have existing experience of a Legal Cashier role (1 year minimum)
- Legal Accounts Assistants with 2 + years' experience will be considered
- Availability at short notice would be beneficial
- Good understanding of the Solicitor Accounts Rules
- Working knowledge of IRIS case management system required
- Past experience working with Xero and Leap case management system would be beneficial
