Commercial Solicitor

A Midlands based law firm has an opportunity for a commercial solicitor to join its specialist commerce and technology team based in Nottingham. The firm itself is highly regarded and is recommended across an array of legal areas in the Legal 500 which makes this an excellent opportunity for a commercial solicitor that is not only looking for a great firm but also a quality caseload where you will have a chance to work on commercial matters within a specialist field.

The role

You will find a varied caseload that will include work on commercial contracts, general commercial work, non- contentious IT and IP matters and data protection.

You will manage your own caseload alongside assisting other members of an established team.

You will also engage in a substantial amount of business development activities.

The candidate

The firm is ideally looking for a solicitor that has between 2-5 years PQE, however this is purely a guideline that they have provided and applications from qualified solicitors outside of this PQE will be considered.

Having experience of handling commercial matters is essential, you should be adept in commercial contracts work.

Having knowledge of IT and IP matters and debt recovery along with experience of work within the public sector are desirable areas of experience, however not necessary for applicants to have.

The ability to network and actively develop business are needed for this role.
