Family Paralegal

Are you an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant / Paralegal seeking a new role with one of the South’s leading law firms? Then this is for you!

The role
Both Full- and Part-Time applicants are encouraged to apply for this position. ​Full-Time is preferred but Part-Time (28 hours per week which must include a Friday) may be considered. 

The successful candidate will be required to provide assistance to the lawyers within the family department.  Whilst fee earning experience is not a pre-requisite for this role, the suitable candidate must be able to actively progress files (within the boundaries of the role) during the absence of the fee earner, and therefore it is likely that the candidate will have aspirations of building a career within family law at fee earning level in the long term.

The candidate
The role would suit a law graduate or CILEX qualified individual with at least 6 months family law experience or a highly experienced family paralegal with a wide breadth of experience.

Applicants will be well organised, possess strong administrative skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, and will preferably be familiar with case management systems.

We ideally see that candidates are particulary interested in Family Law and welcome applications from individuals wanting to eventually qualify in to this area of law.
