Risk / Data Protection Lawyer 2-5 PQE

My client is an international law firm with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice rooted in its deep understanding of the sectors and geographies in which its clients operate.

With over 1,500 lawyers operating from 23 locations throughout the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, they are well-placed to advise on complex multi-jurisdictional matters across a full range of legal disciplines.

The firm are looking to hire a data protection lawyer into their Birmingham office. The purpose of this role is to assist in providing proactive and professional legal support to the firm, specifically in relation to our senior Data Protection Officer (DPO) (a lawyer with over 15 years DP experience). As a member of the Risk Team your role will be to assist on specific projects eg GDPR, the ePrivacy Regulation, supplier contracts and providing valuable support and guidance to fee earners and business operations teams on data protection issues, new office openings, subject access requests and info security where there is a data protection angle.
