A leading global financial services company is seeking a Lawyer to join their legal team, based in London. This is a 6 month interim position, with part time working available.

As part of the GC Global Finance Group Advisory team you will be responsible for providing legal advisory support to the Prime Derivatives Service Business and the Global Markets Division.

Responsibilities:

*Work on opinions and legal advice relating to netting and collateral enforceability advice for legal, credit risk and capital purposes, to comply with Basel 3 requirements as implemented by CRDIV and other regulations.

*Obtain, review and analyse legal opinions from external counsel on netting and collateral enforceability for master netting agreements, in particular for exchange traded derivatives and cleared OTC derivatives transactions.

*Make recommendations to senior stakeholders and advise internal stakeholders on netting and collateral enforceability for legal systems and capital adequacy.

*Draft up memorandums for senior stake holders and deal with any queries to legal opinions.

*Work on other ad-hoc legal advisory matters and legal projects supporting the Prime Derivatives Services.

You will need to be a UK qualified solicitor with 8-10 years PQE* gained in house at an investment bank or at a magic circle/top law firm. You will have an in depth knowledge of exchange traded derivatives, cleared OTC derivatives and a strong understanding of netting and collateral enforceability issues. Reviewing and analysing legal opinions is essential for this role.
