This established, international law firm are looking for a junior Commercial IP/IT Associate to join their award-winning team based in Central Bristol, focusing within the areas of Technology, Privacy and IP work. Your new role
The commercial group provides leading-edge business solutions to clients, ranging from high growth start-ups to multinationals and covering the entire spectrum of commercial activity. The Bristol team has a strong reputation with large global clients requiring sophisticated cross-jurisdictional advice. The firm span multiple sectors, with particular focuses in Digital Business, Retail, Energy and Transport, thus creating opportunities for lawyers to gain experience and involvement in a variety of sectors and to develop a focus on areas of particular interest for longer term career development. From a Technology perspective, they pride themselves on having the largest tech focussed team in the region.

The work will vary in scale and you will handle smaller matters relatively independently, working with other members of the team with more supervision and team-based working on larger projects.

What you'll need to succeed
The IP/IT team covers a broad range of interesting work and they are looking for a candidate who is keen to get involved with a range of work, and potentially to be developing a focus/interest area for particular effort. You will have a range of commercial law experience gained either at a city, national or large regional law firm recognised for its commercial law practice, or in-house. Within your commercial experience you will have worked on technology, privacy and/or IP matters - not necessarily all three, and you will ideally be an NQ-2PQE lawyer. You will have excellent communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.
