In House Counsel

A unique and exciting business in the 'high tech' sector in Yorkshire is seeking a commercial counsel to join the team, and take on a role with an international focus.

The business works within the sports sector and has an enviable client list, and has grown significantly in the past few years. To support this growth they need to hire additional legal counsel to the team.
Given that a lot of the business activity would be around leasing technical hardware and licensing software, the legal work will comprise drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer / supplier contracts, supply and licensing arrangements, advising on privacy and data protection, IP, IT and general commercial matters.

They are looking to recruit a lawyer with a strong track record in a corporate / commercial discipline, to be comfortable with the work outlined above. You'll need to have exceptional communication skills, and if you currently work in a law firm and don't yet have in house experience we'd like to know why you are attracted by making such a move. You'd be based in very pleasant offices in central Leeds, and working at the heart of a fast paced business you'd have regular contact with key decision makers.
