Our client is seeking a Banking & Finance Lawyer with market documentation or Prime brokerage experience to join their securities advisory team.
This Banking & Finance Lawyer role will involve:
Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for the advisory and transactional process end to end. You will take responsibility for prioritising deals, management of the documentation, ensure consistency in terms negotiated and provide advice on issues as they arise surrounding the transactions particularly focussing on the treasury and liquidity management business lines.
Key activities will include:
- Review, drafting and negotiation of;
- Stock Lending Agreements, Securities Lending, GMSLAs & GMRAs
- Derivatives / ISDAs and credit support documentation
- Securities financing (LMA)
- Securities interests (letters of credit / guarantees)
- Development of new products, working with the business product management team
- Provision of training to other lawyers and the business
The ideal candidate:
- 2-4 years’ experience* in Banking & Finance as a qualified lawyer
- Experience in securities lending, derivatives, cash and securities finance documentation and general commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of FS regulations would be desirable but not essential
- Confident managing external counterparties and internal clients
*Candidates outside of this bracket will be considered if they are able to demonstrate the prerequisite experience required.
