Our client, a well-known Asset Manager is seeking a Financial Services Corporate Governance Lawyer with data protection experience to join the group in London for a 12 month FTC.
The Corporate Governance Lawyer role will involve:
This role will be split between project management and BAU. Responsibilities will be across a variety of matters including:
- Corporate governance, providing advice, drafting resolutions and managing corporate reorganisation requirements
- Reviewing, negotiating and drafting general commercial contracts;
- NDA’s/confidentiality agreements,
- Suppler agreements
- Terms of business.
- Providing legal advice on regulatory matters such as GDPR, Anti- Bribery and modern slavery
- Project managing and assisting on business projects as a representative of the Group Legal department
The ideal candidate for the Commercial & Data Protection Lawyer role:
- Will have 5+ years PQE experience as a Corporate Governance, Commercial or general legal counsel, working in financial services, preferably asset management.
- Demonstrable experience of Corporate Governance, Commercial Contracts and Data Protection Law
- Competent at building and maintaining relationships with senior management teams
- Excellent drafting skills, attention to detail and a strong analytical skill set
