Head of Contracts – Financial Services – East Midlands
Our client is a world leader in its field and is going through continuous growth. They are seeking an experienced lawyer to lead their UK and Ireland Contracts function.
This is an important role and will oversee a team of lawyers within the contracts function. The department is responsible for ensuring that the business contracts with clients and consumers are created and managed in accordance with FCA rules, regulation and guidelines as well as adhering to the business’ high standards. The function operates as a first line of defence in the contract process.
Requirements
- Qualified as a solicitor or barrister with over 8 years* relevant post-qualification experience
- Extensive experience drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts within a technology setting is essential
- Knowledge of data protection, competition, intellectual property, public sector contracting and consumer protection would be a distinct advantage
- Working in a regulated environment (FCA) would be extremely advantageous
- You must have demonstrable leadership qualities and experience managing lawyers
- In-house experience would be beneficial
