In-House Solicitor

We are working for a multi-national organisation who is one of the largest manufacturing brands in the world. They offer a team of impressive lawyers and this role will ideally suit someone who has a strong capability to continue to learn quickly, who is resourceful and offers excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will report to the Head of Legal.

Essentially you will have a minimum of 3 years post admitted experience. Your experience will be across a broad range of general and complex commercial and corporate matters and you will be at a level in your experience where it is such that you are able to work across those matters with independence and responsibility. Your experience will include managing the work of external legal counsel on a Pan-EU basis.

You must be qualified in the UK or have the equivalent legal education and professional recognition. Ideally you will have some in-house exposure, sound understanding of all aspects of commercial law and how to pragmatically apply that into a commercial environment. You will also have a good awareness when it comes to actively contributing in making legal decisions. As the position is busy, you will be a self-starter and work proactively and with minimal supervision.

Your work will not be limited to but may include:

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on all types of commercial contracts across the EU including agreements regarding supply of goods and services, confidentiality, marketing, agency, consultancy, sponsorship, outsourcing, franchising, logistics, motorsports etc.
• Compliance matters, including anti-bribery, competition, data protection and modern slavery.
• Data protection and IT law.
• Civil Litigation and Product Liability.
• Employment Law.
• Consumer law and e-commerce.
• Marketing and advertising law.
• Financial services and insurance.

The role is located in the Berkshire area. Our client offers a modern and impressive working environment . There is car parking onsite however, the office location is reasonably accessible via bus and rail links. They have great benefits on-site to include a café and gym.
