Commercial Litigation Solicitor / Associate – An exciting opportunity has arisen with this leading commercial firm for a talented NQ commercial litigation solicitor with around 0-2 PQE to join and grow with the team. The firm undertakes a wide range of quality work and is currently benefitting from an increase in instructions due to the arrival of a new Partner. This is a great chance to join a reputable firm and develop with a department which is growing steadily in the Manchester market.

• Previous Experience: Full range of commercial litigation disputes working for mid-level SMEs to large national, multi-national companies including FTSE 100 and 250 clients. The team is looking for a talented NQ -2 PQE

THE COMMERCIAL LITIGATION TEAM

Commercial litigation solicitors within the team are instructed on a broad range of matters from ‘bread-and-butter’ commercial litigation involving breach of commercial contracts, directors’ disputes and commercial injunctions to more specialised areas such as construction litigation. The team already benefits from a solid reputation in the Manchester market, but is certainly growing their presence.

The team is regularly instructed by major national and international companies (including FTSE 100 and 250), but also has a rich source of work from SME clients. This, in turn, means that junior fee earners benefit from great exposure and are encouraged to run with matters as soon as possible.

A number of key lateral hires at senior level, including the arrival of a new Partner, have resulted in the department experiencing an up-turn in work. As a result, a demand has arisen for a 0-2 PQE solicitor to join the team and grow with the firm.

WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

The team is looking for a dedicated, hard-working and ambitious commercial litigation solicitor to join the team and work closely with one of the Partners in the department. Applicants should already have a sound technical understanding of the litigation process and be capable of running matters independently. They should also be able to demonstrate:

• A consistently strong academic record;
• Previous experience from a reputable law firm;
• The ability to work independently, when required;
• A down-to-earth personality and approach to one’s work; and
• The desire to involve oneself in business development.
