Debt Recovery Paralegal

Our client, a debt management and recovery services company based in Sheffield, are looking to recruit a Debt Recovery Paralegal to work in the Debt Litigation team. 

Ideally you will have gained 12 months plus relevant experience in a similar role and have some experience of managing defended matters as well as non-contentious county court actions from issue through to enforcement.

Duties for this role will include amongst others;

- Making and receiving collection telephone calls
- Collating and recording information from clients
- Negotiating repayments with clients to clear off accounts
- Monitoring repayments to ensure they are made within set deadlines
- Diary management
- Reviewing debts to assess suitability for legal action
- Initiating county court legal actions for debt recovery
- Progressing legal actions to judgement and enforcement
- Advising clients on the chances of successful recovery
- Assisting with the resolution of disputes and reasons for non-payment
- Liaising with clients, courts and enforcement agencies
