Our Client is looking for a junior to mid-level commercial lawyer to join their legal team based in West London.

Description
Reporting into the Head of Legal, Commercial this role will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual legal advice to the businesses in the revenue generation, procurement and IT areas, with the ability to lead on negotiations, draft and review contracts.
You will provide legal advice on general commercial contracts that affect the businesses with a view to promoting compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements. Key commercial responsibilities will include negotiating, drafting, reviewing contractual documentation, and producing standard form contracts, precedents and guidance on contractual matters. The role holder will also be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities in commercial agreements and pro-actively finding ways to mitigate or remove risks.
This role may be required to independently conduct negotiations to resolve disputes, review and advise on likely liabilities arising from contractual or other disputes and on occasion manage the dispute resolution process through use of Counsel or external panel solicitors.
Profile
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with around 2 - 6 years PQE* with excellent knowledge of different areas of law, including commercial, contract and negligence. Other areas which would be desirable to have, although not essential, would include some knowledge of regulatory law (competition, aviation, health & safety, environmental and security law), IT/IP, procurement law and judicial review issues. There must be a willingness to learn if those areas are unfamiliar.
Prior in-house experience whether on a secondment or permanent role would be beneficial but not essential.
