Our client, a reputable law firm in West Yorkshire have a close knit Personal Injury department that has grown from strength to strength in recent years.
As such, they are looking to bring in a Litigator or newly-qualified Solicitor into a newly-created role, to be a part of the future of the firm.
The Role:
As a member of a 6 person team, the Litigator/NQ Solicitor will enjoy autonomy in managing their own caseload of Fast Track EL/PL and RTA Claims. With Legal Support staff, you will progress own the cases from inception, through the MoJ Portal, to completion, including Litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending clients in person and on the telephone
- Advising about funding
- Investigating and assessing liability
- Managing the claim on the relevant MOJ Portal
- Liaising with all parties
- Assessing medical records and reports
- Assessing the value of the claim and negotiating settlement
- Processing the case through the court under supervision
- To represent and promote the practice to external organisations as required by the partners from time to time and to contribute to the general standing of the practice within the community
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a proven Litigator or newly-qualified Solicitor with exposure to both EL/PL and RTA claims and will be able to demonstrate that they mirror the firm's values of excellence, team work, ownership, integrity and respect.
You will also possess the following:
- Experience of using Proclaim case management system or similar
- Meaningful experience of the MOJ Portals
- Good knowledge of personal injury law
- Experience of RTA, EL and PL personal injury claims
