Personal Injury Paralegal RTA - The pre-litigated claimant RTA team of this leading national firm is now looking for a fee earner to help grow this substantial practice.

KEY DETAILS

  • Job Title: Claimant RTA Personal Injury Paralegal
  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £16,000 - £22,000
  • Reports to: Claimant RTA Team Leader
  • Previous Experience: Ideally, around 1 year or as a claimant RTA personal injury paralegal with experience of the MOJ portal stages 1, 2 and 3 and/or dealing with RTA claims that have fallen out of the portal.

THE PERSONAL INJURY TEAM

Our client is a leading claimant personal injury firm with offices located throughout the country. The RTA team is made up of a mixture of fee earners including personal injury paralegals, legal executives and solicitors who advise claimants on a range of personal injury matters from small claims, ULR and Credit Hire work through to complex high value multi track claims.

Whilst distinct, a certain amount of cross pollination is encouraged between personal injury teams. Fee earning staff are encouraged to progress and develop, often moving from pre litigation to one of the litigated teams, once they are ready.

PERSONAL INJURY PARALEGALS IN THE PRE-LITIGATED CLAIMANT RTA TEAM

Due to the growth of the personal injury department, an RTA paralegal is needed to manage a caseload of pre-litigated claimant RTA files. Prior experience of the MOJ portal and/or claims which have fallen out of the portal would be advantageous. In particular, personal injury paralegals wishing to apply should ideally demonstrate:

  • A claimant personal injury background;
  • A working knowledge of the MOJ portal - stages 1, 2 and 3;
  • The ability to work well in a team environment; and
  • The ability to meet targets and deadlines.

CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

Our client is looking for personal injury paralegals who have a real enthusiasm for Personal Injury and wish to forge a career in the claimant personal injury sector. In particular, potential applicants should:

  • have sound academic qualifications;
  • be ambitious and driven;
  • possess keen attention to detail;
  • be able to be reactive as well as pro-active; and
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PROGRESSION TO LITIGATED WORK

Although this opportunity related to the pre-litigation team, it is worth noting that candidates are regularly progressed from this team to litigated work. There is a strong emphasis on career progression within the firm as a whole and candidates who prove their ability are encouraged to develop as soon as possible.
