Commercial Litigation Solicitor

This is an opportunity within an established Birmingham law firm who are looking to add a solicitor to their commercial litigation offering.

Description

You will be joining a well respected litigation team in a firm outside of Birmingham city centre. The firm acts on high level disputes rather than volume work. The work is mixed - anything from commercial contracts disputes through to landlord and tenant matters.

The team is lead by a senior partner and has around 4/5 fee earners in total. You would be walking in to your own caseload and will be given the freedom to run with matters from start to finish, with support and supervision from more senior lawyers.

This is a great opportunity for a civil/commercial litigator who is perhaps looking to make a step up to better quality work and move away from volume and small value disputes. The team is committed to training and development and there are other junior lawyers in the team who you will work alongside.

The firm is small but this also means you will get a lot more autonomy and client interaction.

Profile

Ideally you will have at least 12 months' experience in civil/commercial litigation matters. You will know how to run your own files and will have a strong understanding of the CPR.

Unfortunately as the team is very busy and need somebody to hit the ground running, they are unable to consider candidates with a predominantly personal injury background. The right candidates needs to have solid civil/commercial litigation experience.
