Your new company

A reputable FTSE listed media business specialising in global B2B events and marketing. Headquartered in Central London, this company employs circa 4000 people in more than 20 countries worldwide, creating hundreds of large scale events a year for industries including technology, fashion, food and pharmaceuticals.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Legal EMEA, you will be required to support the business across all divisions of the European operation, providing proactive legal services and liaising with stakeholders across the business. You will advise on commercial contracts, intellectual property, IT, co-operation agreements, contractual JVs, disputes/litigation management and regulatory matters. You will implement and provide training on compliance issues to ensure company interest are protected. Experience in advising on data protection issues would also be an advantage as this will form part of the role.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified lawyer with excellent academics and 4-8 years post qualified commercial experience gained within a well-respected law firm or in-house. In addition to technical ability, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully engage with stakeholders at all levels within the EMEA business and across the wider group.
