A high-profile organisation which provides a wide range of advice to its members.
THE ROLE
An in house lawyer is now sought to join the collegial and well regarded legal department.
The role will involve providing legal advice on issues of employment law, public and administrative law, litigation including High Court judicial reviews, healthcare regulatory law and trade unions legislation.
You will work closely with Senior Solicitors and other legal department members on an ad hoc basis, as needs require.
The role also has a non-contentious side with advisory work on all of the aforementioned issues.
ABOUT YOU.
With 1-3pqe, your experience should have focussed on employment work as this role will require the ability to understand a variety of medical and employment related issues.
The ideal candidate will have a background in employment law, although the work involves much more than this including advising on public and administrative law, medical regulatory work, and trade union legislation among other issues with high profile litigation including numerous test cases and judicial reviews.
While the successful candidate is not expected to have a background in all of these areas, employment law knowledge is a must.
