Data Privacy Officer - UK & Ireland

A global Tech provider is seeking a UK qualified Data Privacy Officer to head up this sector for the UK and Ireland. This role will include advising all areas of the client's business on data privacy compliance matters across applications, systems, processes and controls as well as across all internal business units. The position is for a senior lawyer to manage relationships with the Senior Management as well as with regulators, like the ICO, data subjects and clients in major deal scenarios.

There is also the opportunity for the right person to work in the US for a period of time if they wish. This is a great opportunity to work in a challenging and ever changing area of a global tech business. The current business model is highly data focused and this is a great opportunity to work at the centre of the data business.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer who has an interest in Data Privacy Law. This person must be a strong communicator and have the ability to work collaboratively across different business lines. Attention to detail is essential along with an understanding of GDPR. Experience in compliance functions (data privacy or other) is of advantage.

You must also be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with an acute grasp on Data Protection Law. With a competitive salary and an excellent training and development programme, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
