The firm's expertise in health and safety and liability practice is well renowned and held in high esteem amongst the legal community.

Your new role
The firm's Liability team are looking to recruit a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor/CILEX to run their own catastrophic injury caseload of fast and multi-track matters and assist on higher value cases. You will also work on coverage and property damage matters and will handle employer's liability, public liability and product liability cases, ranging in value. The Liability team advises on all types of defendant personal injury claims from slip and trip cases to high value catastrophic personal injury cases. You will be advising large composite insurers, Lloyd's syndicates and large corporate clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a law firm leading the legal market in this field.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent. The firm are seeking UK Qualified Solicitors or CILEX with 2+ years post qualification defendant litigation experience specifically in personal injury claims. High calibre post qualification experience in employer's liability and public liability claims is preferred, as is the ability to run your own caseload under supervision and assist seniors with large scale casework in a team environment. Strong technical ability, previous client contact and attendance at business development events is desirable.

You will need to be able to give and take instruction, apply a forensic approach, and deliver commercially pragmatic solutions. You will need to be proactive and take initiative, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, be able to manage your own time, demonstrate excellent organisation skills and strong technical and research skills. A flexible attitude towards working practices and an ability to adapt style as required for supervision purposes are a prerequisite. You should be confident in your own abilities and in your approach, a solid team player, approachable and responsive to both colleagues and clients, self-motivated and enthusiastic.

What you'll get in return
The firm offers a vibrant and supportive working environment built upon its core values; they are approachable, responsive, trustworthy and straightforward. They pride themselves on high quality client instructions, are committed to investing in the learning and development of their lawyers and support staff at all levels, and encourage their lawyers to build relationships and take part in business development opportunities.
