Senior Management Accountant

Our Client is a U.S. law firm with a global presence, founded well over 100 years ago. With more than 1,000 lawyers worldwide, including around 150 lawyers in London, they advise leading corporations, financial institutions, governments, state-owned enterprises and technology and biotech companies on the legal matters they face.

Responsibilities include:

On a monthly basis creating a core financial reporting pack

Produce content and analysis for partner and management meetings using PowerPoint and visual aids when required

When required reporting client and practice revenues

Monthly creation of snapshot reporting for the regional managing partners

Liaising with HR to maintain records and handle client secondment billing

Quarterly VAT return process including general reconciliations, payments, filings, intercompany billing.

Monitor monthly general ledger entries in order to ensure correct posting of transactions in line with the firms accounting policies

Monthly production of variance analysis explanations

Providing cover for the director of finance when absent

From time to time involvement in regional aspects

Assisting with treasury considerations including cash flow requirements and FX

Drive the annual budget process with functional heads in the office

Candidate Profile

Experience working with a professional services environment

SQL report writing would be desirable

Strong experience using excel

Experience using Elite or similar accounting systems

Recently qualified accountant or finalist

Ability to communicate, build and develop relationships across the business both internally and externally
