About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data protection professional to work with a dynamic, creative and positive organisation.
Dogs Trust is committed to taking Data Protection seriously. This role of Data Protection Compliance Manager is key to all aspects of Dogs Trust’s work, including Fundraising, Marketing, IT and operationally.
The successful candidate will manage the implementation of GDPR compliance across Dogs Trust and its subsidiaries. Working closely and collaboratively across all departments, the successful candidate will streamline and implement data policies and processes, strengthening and ensuring compliance across Dogs Trust’s UK and international operations.
About you
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience advising on data protection and GDPR, ideally legally qualified, or with an equivalent level of experience.
You will have a risk-based approach and sound commercial judgement, with the ability to identify pragmatic and effective solutions. You will have strong communication skills with experience providing advice directly to clients or non-legal colleagues clearly and concisely. You will be confident in your ability to work alongside and influence decision making at a senior level and you will have the ability to deliver internal training on data protection.
