Senior Contracts Lawyer

Senior Contracts Lawyer required to join a well-regarded local authority based in London for an initial 3 month period with the view for a rolling contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy legal team within a popular London Borough. You will have the opportunity to undertake complex, interesting work within contract and procurement matters for a central London borough shared service.

The successful Senior Contracts Lawyer will work on the full range of matters and must have experience within EU public procurement as this is a large aspect of the role. The role will involve drafting a wide range of contracts including but not limited to;

• Confidentiality agreements
• ICT agreements
• Service agreements
• Standard form construction
• Tender documents

Alongside this, the successful candidate will be applying procurement law to complex transactions and procurements, advising clients on a wide range of contractual matters, from straightforward through to complex, and dealing with any other contracts matters that may arise.

The ideal Contracts Lawyer will come from a public sector background, although this is not essential and applications are welcomed from those with different legal backgrounds. A knowledge of EU procurement law and/or TUPE would be greatly advantageous for this position.
