3-6 PQE Shipping & Asset Finance Counsel - Shipping Company

This would be a fantastic opportunity to make the first move in-house into a rapidly growing, global organisation, where you will be working on a large number of transactions, joining a highly regarded legal team.

Ideally for this role you will be around 3-6 PQE, having trained and qualified in a top city law firm. There is a strong preference for transactional experience, specifically in shipping finance.

You will be responsible for:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating loan and security agreements for the financing of vessel acquisitions, including sale and leaseback transactions;
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements such as pool agreements, charterparties, shipbuilding contracts, vessel sale and purchase agreements, joint venture and participation agreements, commercial management agreements and bunker supply contracts;
• Execution of vessel delivery arrangements;
• Assistance on company secretarial and other corporate matters;
• Assistance on corporate finance transactions including capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and private equity raises;
