A fairly unique opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading Top 50 law firm with a strong commercial presence nationally. They now seek to appoint a data protection solicitor into the national commercial team at a senior level in Manchester.
 
With an enviable client base both in the public and private sector you will manage a caseload of data protection and IT matters whilst assisting the wider commercial team. You will have good technical knowledge including DPA and the new General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) and be able to provide training including delivering presentations.  The firm acts for a good range of clients across most sectors including retail, transport and logistics and media and can provide a good platform for you to develop the data protection and IT practice through business development initiatives, engaging with key clients across the firm.
 
The role affords an appointment for an existing partner looking to develop their practice further with a leading national law firm. You may also be a senior associate,  ready for partnership or be looking for a role which can offer a clear path to partnership. This firm can offer a lawyer, who has the technical knowledge and specialist data protection practice lots of scope and progression.
