A leading London law firm is looking to hire a new Junior IT Helpdesk Assistant to provide 1st line support for the firm’s London offices.  This role will be to provide 1st line support with duties including answering helpdesk queries by telephone, email and in person.  Logging calls to helpdesk software, dealing with password resets, dealing with application crashes, dealing with logging on issues, grant/Remove access to other email accounts, basic Document Management queries, laptop management – Providing users with laptops, wireless dongles and USB keys as required - making sure they are returned when finished and clearing any non-standard documents or software.  Updating patches as required and charging ready for use the next time, provide access to external media (CD’s and USB Keys), basic printing – logging calls with support company as necessary, basic iPhone/iPad administration – configuring new devices and replacing devices as required, liaise with Secretarial Services Department to be proactive providing float Secretaries access to Fee Earners/Partners email accounts before cover starts and where possible working with the application and training team to test new versions of applications, developments or assist in any other project.  Applicants require; previous Helpdesk experience, preferably from within a law firm, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong technical skills and have the ability to work both as part of a team and unsupervised to meet the varied needs of the department.  Standard hours are 9:30 – 17:30.
