Legal Counsel - Shipping Finance

Our client is the world's largest independent commercial ship management company, commercially managing a fleet of around 250 vessels

Description

The key responsibilities with this role will include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating loan and security agreements for the financing of vessel acquisitions, including sale and leaseback transactions;
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements such as pool agreements, charterparties, shipbuilding contracts, vessel sale and purchase agreements, joint venture and participation agreements, commercial management agreements and bunker supply contracts;
• Execution of vessel delivery arrangements;
• Assistance on corporate finance transactions including capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and private equity raises.

Profile

The successful candidate will be likely to be a 3 - 5 year PQE UK qualified lawyer, trained in house at a top ranked shipping firm. They will have extensive asset finance experience which will most likely related to shipping finance, which is the core of this role.
