Education Lawyer

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Education Lawyer to join a public sector organisation based in the East Midlands for an initial period of 3 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Education Lawyer based in the Midlands to join a well-known and widely regarded local authority on a locum basis.

The successful Education Lawyer deal with matters such as:

- General telephone advise for schools which includes issues around Facebook use, disclosure of information, access to premises, change of name, banning orders

- Exclusion and admission appeals

- SEND related work

- Transport appeals and SENDIST tribunal advice work regarding ECHP contents/ named school

- Duty to education issues

- Policy advice

This organisation is well-located as is easily accessible via either train or public transport from throughout the Midlands.

The ideal Education Lawyer will have previous experience of working within a public sector organisation and will be able to start as soon as possible.

While this position is full time and for 3 months initially, there is the possibility of an extension thereafter.
