Our Nottingham-based, multidisciplinary legal team is a supports all UK businesses within Walgreens Boots Alliance by providing solution-driven, commercially relevant, legal advice. Reporting to our Senior Employment Lawyer, your role will be to provide specialist, high quality and commercially astute advice on employment law matters which are recognised as being critical to the success of our HR strategies. This position will require close collaboration with your colleagues in the legal team, HR and the wider business on contentious employment law matters including managing and conducting employment tribunal cases; advising and supporting the HR teams on employment law issues; development of strategic policy, procedure and training; and managing external legal support when required. You will also be required to provide support in relation to immigration matters and the employment aspects of commercial projects.
We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least three years' employment law experience gained in a leading private practice law firm or another high profile organisation. Capable of taking decisions which deliver the right commercial outcome, you will demonstrate an ability to understand and identify solutions to issues, combined with decisiveness and a clear understanding of risk management. You will ideally also have tribunal advocacy experience.
