Our client is a highly regarded international law firm who are looking for a number of associates to join their extremely successful infrastructure, projects and energy team in Leeds. Our client is a cutting edge firm who have a notable and impressive work load frequently advising on innovative and complex projects for top end clients. Their busy team needs to recruit again and whilst they will obviously consider people with experience in this work they are equally happy to consider those with wider experience who are happy to retrain into this interesting area, particularly from commercial property, banking or corporate disciplines.
Our client places emphasis on providing bespoke, non-commodity work and is heavily client service lead. Each day within this team will be different and if you have strong preferences roles could be developed allowing you to work in the sectors that you most enjoy. This role genuinely allows you to see the results of your work; whether in a new power station, a railway structure or even a hospital. A typical day of work within this role would range from closing high profile deals in the energy industry to advising clients within the transport sector on matters that have been subject to much media hype. Whatever it is our client can guarantee that it will be interesting and exciting.
The ideal candidate for this role will be ambitious with a genuine desire to progress in their chosen field. There will be plenty of opportunity for career advancement given the growth in work that the team has been experiencing for some time and the new mandates that they are consistently winning. The role offers a chance to travel and unusually would also allow you to take charge of some of your own work at an early stage, something not always possible within this work type. This is truly an amazing opportunity with a firm who intends to be a leader in the transport, energy and other large infrastructure sectors. There is real clarity of strategy, a highly collegiate approach and so whilst the rigors at this level are similar across firms there is a genuinely supportive environment which creates a lovely working environment.
Our client is open minded but has given a guideline of between 1-3 years PQE and are happy to consider more experienced lawyers too. As mentioned whilst they are interested in meeting people with pure projects experience they are also happy to consider people looking for an opportunity to move from disciplines such as corporate or real estate law.
For more information on this role please contact Rachael Mann (or another member of our Private Practice team) at Sacco Mann.
