Corporate/Commercial Solicitor

A highly credible and long established commercial practice in Leeds require a corporate & commercial solicitor to take the lead for their corporate & commercial work. There is an existing and full caseload of matters for the successful candidate to acquire, although someone with contacts and connections in the market or a following of work would be highly attractive to this firm. That said a following is certainly not essential for the role.
The firm will require someone who is able to handle a caseload of matters independently as they will be the only person handling this line of work. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial property partner whose long standing clients provide a large amount of work to the corporate/commercial department. Should the work of the successful candidate increase to such an amount that support from another fee earner is required, the firm would be happy to accommodate this.
The work is extremely varied and includes sales of businesses, mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, group reorganisations, partnership issues, joint venture arrangements and general commercial contract work.
You will need to be an enthusiastic and friendly team player who is dedicated and hardworking. Our client has indicated that a candidate with at least 5 years PQE will possess the required level of knowledge and skill to carry out this role, however this is just a guideline and our client will accept applications from candidates who fall outside this PQE range but who possess the relevant knowledge/skill to carry out this role
