Brief Description of Role:

This is a great opportunity to work on a high quality caseload for a variety of clients on Fast & Multi-track claims, including EL/PL cases. The work will mainly be personal injury related, but may also involve property damage recoveries.

Team Information:

The division is recognised for their specialist expertise in defending insurance liability claims including personal injury matters, from small through to large loss employers' and public liability, and motor claims. The division also handles catastrophic injury and occupational disease related matters as well as medical negligence and fraud related issues.

  • EL/PL and Motor Insurers
  • Local Authorities
  • TPA/Claims Handlers
  • Self-insured Corporates

Types of Cases:

  • Employer's, Public and Motor Liability
  • General Liability
  • Catastrophic, brain and psychiatric injury
  • Occupational Disease
  • Property recovery

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • UK Qualified Solicitor, Foreign Qualified or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience.
  • Strong Academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Would consider a strong Foreign Qualified Solicitor with the relevant experience.

Experience:

Essential:

  • 3-10 years'* defendant personal injury experience.
  • Experience of fast track and/or multi-track claims experience.
  • Able to run own caseload with some supervision.
  • Experience of EL/PL work.
  • To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to apply a commercial approach to claims in order to deliver economic solutions.
  • To be proactive and take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills.
  • Strong technical and research skills.
  • Attention to detail.
